Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), via its partner Scientific Games, has ordered additional hardware from MultiQ. The order value is estimated to be approximately SEK 16 million, and delivery is expected to take place in the autumn of 2021. The order is a call-off under the framework agreement previously announced in 2019.

WCLC wants to continue to develop the gaming experience at its agents’ stores, and create an attractive, modern gaming environment using interactive displays.

WCLC is a state lottery organisation conducting lottery and gaming activities in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and three adjacent territories. This customer is investing heavily in digitization to enhance and modernize its brand. The aim is for agents to be able to offer a gaming experience that generates both pleasure and excitement. Players expect a seamless experience, with the same message wherever and whenever they choose to play. The messages displayed must be the same in agents’ stores and online. The interactive information displays will give customers access to games, gaming tips, results, and payouts. When the displays are not being used by customers, they will show marketing for various games and campaigns.

“Players’ expectations of a modern gaming experience mean that the gaming market is now undergoing the same digital journey that we are seeing in the rest of the retail trade. With modern, innovative solutions, WCLC is creating an attractive customer experience at its agents’ stores. Our partnership with Scientific Games opens up more market opportunities worldwide,” says Henrik Esbjörnson, MultiQ CEO.
